Easy Anime Eyes Drawing Step by Step

Materials needed

• Pencil
• Eraser
• Smooth paper
• Marker or pen
• Blue or gray pencil

Step 1

Sketch the upper eyelid

Draw a confident curved line like a soft rainbow. Thicken the center and outer corner to make the eye feel polished.

Step 2

Add the lower curve

Place a lighter, shorter curve below the lid. Leave space between the two lines for the iris.

Step 3

Draw the iris and pupil

Add a tall oval iris that touches the top eyelid. Put a dark pupil in the center and keep it aligned.

Step 4

Reserve highlights

Draw two small white circles or bubbles inside the iris before shading. These highlights make the eye feel glossy.

Step 5

Shade from dark to light

Darken the top of the iris, fade the shading downward, and add tiny lashes at the outer edge.

Beginner tips

• Leave the highlight shapes white for instant sparkle.
• Make the top eyelid thicker than the bottom eyelid.
• Use curved lashes instead of straight spikes.
